About Us

We are Claudia and Nicola, a psychotherapist and a restaurant manager, united by our passion for cuisine, hospitality, as well as in life.
Inspired by the place we chose to call home and by the merging of our life paths, so different yet so close, we came up with the idea of opening our home to those seeking an experience of warmth, good food, elegance, and nourishment for body and soul. With deep respect for the Italian culinary traditions and the well-being of our guests, using authentic and genuine ingredients, we created “Acqua Salata”, our home restaurant.

What we offer

You can join us for a relaxing, mindful lunch, savoring the dishes prepared by Nicola from our home restaurant’s menu Alternatively, you can get hands-on and participate in a joyful and lighthearted cooking class, learning to prepare traditional dishes from our region, which we will then serve you in a setting of rare beauty our window overlooking the Duomo.

Both the home restaurant menus and the dishes in our exclusive cooking classes are carefully curated and reflect the legacy of classic Mediterranean Italian cuisine, with special attention to the traditional recipes of our families.

Where we are

Our home is located in the noble part of Amalfi’s historic center. It boasts a privileged view of the Duomo’s facade and the lively square below, with a sightline extending all the way to the sea.

It is housed in a charming historic building, whose terraced structure evokes the lemon groves typical of the Amalfi Coast. Accessible via a staircase from the main square, running alongside the bell tower, it is a hidden gem with an intimate, exclusive atmosphere.
